Chris Seltzer – The internet had no means to foul my water and air and take all the value away from my home. Nor did it make my homeowners insurance drop me for living next to a gas well or make it so nobody would buy my home.http://www.forbes.com/sites/halahtouryalai/2012/10/03/guess-whos-fueling-the-fracking-boom/

Texas http://www.texassharon.com/2012/03/13/emerging-concern-are-gas-patch-residents-at-greater-risk-of-heart-attack/I am almost 1 year out from my heart attack. I was 50, clear arteries, and no blockages when I was flown in for an emergency cath. I had a coronary spasm and was diagnosed with a “rare” condition called Prinzmetal’s angina. Apparently cigarette smoke and things like it can cause coronary spasms, which can partially to completely shut down your coronary artery, luckily, mine cleared. Interesting note Sharon, my doctor could not regulate my blood pressure at all in February 2011, changing meds 4 times, hmmm??? I am NE of Argyle Central & the Wright site.

Upsetting for me to read all of these comments. I am in Karnes City,TX. My family and I had been enjoying our life down FM 99 until Marathon Oil Co. arrived. We to have headaches,my doctor is still trying to control my BP, the dust is so heavy that we sometimes rinse our eyes out,the noise, trash, loss of privacy due to a road on our neighbor’s property that she ensured would run beside and behind our home causing us to continually be dusted, the burning gas towers, drilling, shaking of our home, my son gets nosebleeds from dry weather, now they come several times a week, we sneeze, our dogs sneeze, everyday becomes worse!!! We have 24/7 traffic noise and pollution. I wrote the company. Doubt if they’ll reply. We no longer wish to live here, inhaling their toxins, but are stuck here. My close neighbor is recovering from cancer and wishes to move, but his mother, recovering from a stroke, says she’s too old to move from her long time home. People like us are forced to deal with our lives being destroyed. Has anyone out there written and received a reply from Marathon?

I live in Cleburne County, Arkansas. They have been fracking all over this county for a few years now..our wells have either run dry or gone bad. Animals have gotten sick… I lost a horse when they began fracking on the property that I have them on. I forced them to fence off the water pit they put in.They are ruining what was once one of the prettiest areas of the Ozarks and they want to frack under our lake here… where we get all of our drinking water from. This is a nightmare. I was the only one who stood up against them when they came into our county. Now, everyone wants them gone. Nightmare!! We had the best drinking water in the whole country at one time… not now.

  2. Perhaps you can tell me why the people of Dimock, PA are investing hundreds of thousands of dollars into building huge beautiful homes and new barns which I saw when I made two trips there out of curiosity? Does this sound like people who are contracting all kinds of made up ailments that your Internet rag website alleges? Best laugh I’ve had all day! Go get a real job.

    • Well Frank, I can only speak for myself…we started our home before there were any issues. I invested my entire retirement into my new home-a home we built mostly by ourselves. We have for the most part, finished our home and plan on staying in it as long as we can. With a projected 3-8000 gas wells and 38 to 50 compressor stations in our county alone, plus miles of new pipeline, it is uncertain whether we will stay. As far as a real job? I taught public school for 32 years as well as numerous other jobs to put my daughter through college. My husband has been a hard worker since he was 12! We have never taken a handout. We have never failed to pay our taxes or to vote. We chose Dimock in 2003 because it was quiet, beautiful, wooded and then there was that lovely creek that ran through the property. If we had know it was going to be industrialized we would not have built here. We cannot look backwards though. So we stay and hope the gas company will be good neighbors and reduce their pollution, soundproof their compressor stations, obey the speed limits and report their spills. I wish I could laugh.
